The new installment to the Max Payne franchise, Max Payne 3 game, is developer Rockstar Games attempt to start a new chapter of Max Payne’s life. “This is Max Payne as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever.” Press releases have confirmed that Max has left New York City and “Has drifted from bad to worse.” The game is set in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Set eight years after the second game Max is working for a local wealthy family in private security sector.
The game was scheduled to be released in late 2009, but in order for Take-Two Interactive franchises to “Benefit from having more development time.” It was pushed back to 2010. In June 2010 the game was pushed back to 2011. Although it was not present on the 2011-2012 calendar, and it was pushed back again, Rockstar Games released two new screen
shots. On September 2011 the game was announced to have a March 2012 release date, with a debut trailer released on September 14. The Max Payne 3 game was back on track.
The writer of the series ,Sam Lake, responded to the criticism about abandoning the New York/Night theme by commenting that the game would “Maintain its dark and gritty origins.”and fans of the series would “Be in for a surprise.”
The Max Payne 3 game itself will feature over-the-shoulder zoom aiming with cover mechanics and will retain the shoot-dodge mechanic from the previous games, but will just act as garnish for the games run-and-gun shooting. It will also use “bullet time” which is one of the most notable features of the franchise. It allows you to watch as each bullet blows straight through your enemies. Also if Max is carrying any painkillers you will be able to use the “Last Man Standing” mechanic, which allows you to escape from dying for a short period time. If you are then able to find the enemy that dealt the injuring shot, and fill him full of lead , you’ll be allowed to continue fighting.
In the Max Payne 3 game will also be allowed to stay grounded after a dive, giving him a full 360 degrees to fill enemies full of holes. Rockstar has also made his dives correspond with his environment by blending physics and animations. Plus, with Rockstars Euphoria physics engine, killing and wounding your foes looks much more realistic, showing each blood splattering bullet hole in the corpse of your enemy, looking more realistic than any previous Rockstar game.
Max Payne 3 game will be featuring new cinematic action movements, which act as interactive cut -scenes. As an example Max leaps off of a factory balcony and grabs on to a cranes hook and begins swinging around in slow motion shooting at a group of thugs. If one of the thugs gets too close, Max throws his elbows and feet around disarming and killing the thug with bone cracking force.
Max Payne 3 game will have the multiplayer option will have maps that change as you play each match, providing realism and a new unique experience every time you play. It will also have differing modes for appealing to different audiences. playing will give you rewards, ranking, and clan systems, which will make each and every multiplayer match you play worth the time.
Max Payne 3 game will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Microsoft Windows.
